Tales of (UP)Rising Exhibition


07 July - 21 July


An exhibition celebrating the history of the textile and garment industry in Aldgate by students of the London Metropolitan University MA Public Art. Artwork from a series of public workshops led by the students will form part of an evolving exhibition, based in and around ciaociao design's installation.

Workshops will take place across the Friday/Saturday of the 7th/8th and the 14th/15th July, with a closing performance and celebration on the 21st July. More information can be found on individual workshop listings.

Friday 21 July will be the final open day "On Tenterground" for a series of art activities, sewing workshops, storytelling sessions and participatory performances.

Workshops: 11 am - 4 pm
Performance: 5 - 6 pm

Open and free for all ages.

Due to rail strikes, any events planned as part of the Tales of (UP)Rising programme on Sat, 22 July have been rescheduled to Fri, 21 July.
