Charterhouse Square Tours (20 mins, free, ticketed)
Every Thursday in June at 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2pm and 3pm.
Step off the busy streets into Charterhouse Square, and tour an oasis on the edge of the City of London. This short tour introduces the architecture of the Square including the evocative remains of a Carthusian monastery and a landscaped garden with a surprising history hidden beneath the surface.
The tour will explore how the architecture of the past – the evolution and development of the Charterhouse and its communities – continues to shape our experiences of the area today in what we do and don’t have “In Common”.
After the tour, discover the stories behind the remarkable Charterhouse buildings in our free museum and historic chapel.
