Buildings of Brixton

An illustrated talk showing Brixton’s transition from a rural district to a thriving commercial centre, and the effects of the past 60 years of social change, reflected in its varied buildings.

Introduction by Bill Linskey, Chair of the Lambeth Local History Forum, with building examples presented by local architect Alan Piper, Secretary of the Brixton Society.
