Whether as designers, artists, writers or those working in community development, people in Brixton respond to their environment with creativity and enthusiasm.
This project will explore parallels in the structure between art, design, architecture and the theatre, how a play is written and produced with collaborators.
This event will bring together architects, theatre professionals, and graduates of ‘Young Vic Taking Part’ play writers Alumni 2021 who will read and discuss excerpts from their plays. Participants will include: Matt Dumas-Bowden, Sheila Rose, Sandra Wareham and Marilyn Rogers.
Join us for an evening of creativity and reflection as we explore Brixton's architectural heritage and local community spaces through words.
