An Open and Closed Case

We might think that we all share the right to freely walk the streets but on this tour we will discover that we do not all have that in common. Holborn Inns of court have long resisted access by the public and some restrictions are still in place today. Despite the pub being the quintessential “common ground” of British life, the destination of choice for celebration or commiseration, Holborn has some that can be hard to find but are worth uncovering for their fascinating stories.
Starting at Holborn tube station we will pass through Holborn bars, explore four Inns and hear about six pubs on the route that will take about two hours and finish near Chancery Lane tube station. The route is step free and level with a couple of small kerbs.
