A Chance To Explore The World

NEWS |

London Festival of Architecture 2017 is looking to be bigger than ever, with hundreds of events open for booking, and new events being added every day. The only problem is trying to decide which to choose!

This year, I’m using LFA as a chance to explore the world, and particularly the global influences that have shaped our city. The 20th Century Society’s ‘A style guide to twentieth century architecture returns – post-modernism and art deco’ explores a unique period in our capital’s development, with international influences bringing ‘Parisian glamour and American sleekness’ to London’s transport, housing and retail architecture.

At Zaha Hadid Architects, the ‘Unbuilt’ exhibition features a fascinating selection of unrealised designs for some of the world’s most unique and important sites. As one of the UK’s leading practices, Zaha Hadid Architects represent perfectly the global reach of London’s built environment industry and it is this expertise which is being celebrated in New London Architecture’s exhibition and events programme ‘London: Design Capital’. London’s architectural design, engineering, construction, placemaking and consultancy are exported around the globe, with London-based practices working on projects in over 65 countries – make sure to check out the exhibition and events series throughout June!
